Lastly, lets not forget that planned Maintenance to Air Conditioning equipment over a certain Kw rating is now a legal requirement as part of the F gas and Part L regulations.
This fan ran until it became too clogged to turn at which time it burnt out. Summit Design was called to effect a repair but as the fan was an obsolete model the entire Fan needed to be replaced at huge cost to the client.
This cost could have been avoided if planned Maintenance had been carried out annually.
